Braskem America B-120

Braskem America B-120 is a hydrophobic thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin obtained through catalytic polymerization of hydrocarbons in a continuous process. These light yellow pellets are compatible with most solvents and polymeric materials. In rubber applications, Unilene B-120 enhances processability, filler incorporation, dispersion, and mass adhesion, preventing elastomer degradation and reducing preparation time. Additionally, in Solvent and Hot Melt adhesives, the resin promotes good adhesion, cohesion, excellent open time, and water repellency.

Recommended Storage & Handling Conditions

Hydrocarbon resins have thermoplastic characteristics, they can agglomerate when subjected to high temperatures and/or under pressure (stacking). It is recommended to store the product in a fresh place, free from direct sunlight, moisture and without stacking the pallets, also avoiding direct contact with the soil. This characteristic is considered more crucial for low softening point resins such as Unilene A‐80, A‐90, and A‐90 LN.
